Surprise in the Garden

While backyard space was limited, beauty and elegance were abundant–with Sugarplum Tent Company installing a custom 32’ x 42’ Sailcloth Tent on an elevated, level floor.

This intimate backyard wedding featured a level platform and walkways to magically transport guests from the house to the “tent.”  The flooring was a gorgeous white-washed faux wood laminate adorned with blue & ivory area rugs.  Since this was a mid-summer event, the entire interior space was air conditioned with small portable A/C units.

The eclectic farm tables and vintage chairs could be scaled back and separated further to allow for social distancing.

The exciting décor and elegant florals were provided by Amaryllis Design who helped create a truly inspirational setting. The reception was catered by Washington’s celebrated caterer Susan Gage and no details were overlooked in terms of service or cuisine.

Off to the Races!

A private horse farm in Maryland was the venue for a sumptuous gathering of family & friends the night before the wedding. The large white tent had a raised and leveled floor with custom carpet and delicious decor–in the colors of sherbet; hanging florals mingled with rattan chandeliers filled with fairy lights.

The tent was installed next to the large outdoor riding rink and guests were treated to an unusual equestrian show during the course of the evening as well as tours of the paddock area. Susan Gage Caterers provided her always-wonderful cuisine and linens; and Sophie Felts Floral Design did the beautiful flowers.

A Little Gem

This intimate backyard birthday party was held under our Sailcloth Tent we dub the “little gem.”  It’s a cozy 30” x  32” with rounded edges, and was the perfect size for this small summer soiree.  Plenty of room for the harpist as well as a handful of lucky guests!

In the Enchanted Forest . . .

Guests were treated to a magical vision as they climbed the steps of this enchanted forest in suburban Virginia! Sugarplum Tent Company provided a 50′ x 60′ clear tent, leveled floor & lighting in this magical woodland setting. Consider a home wedding.  We can create a large and gracious space for social distancing!

Backyard Gala!

This backyard wedding was formal and yet family-oriented– and did not lack any of the bells and whistles of a hotel or “venue!”
